Frequently asked questions.
If your question is not here, message us on WhatsApp — we usually reply within the hour.
Are all your tours really private?
Yes. You will never share a vehicle or a guide with another booking. Every tour, transfer and driver day is exclusively for your group.
How many people fit in the vehicle?
Our premium vehicles comfortably seat between 1 and 6 guests with luggage. For larger groups we arrange a second vehicle and driver.
Can we change the itinerary during the day?
Absolutely — it is the point. Skip a stop, stay longer somewhere, add a beach or a bakery. Your driver-guide will simply reshape the route.
What is included in the price?
Vehicle, professional English-speaking driver-guide, fuel, tolls, parking, bottled water and Wi-Fi. Entrance tickets, tastings and meals are paid separately so you only pay for what you choose.
Do you pick up at the airport or cruise terminal?
Yes. We offer meet-and-greet pick-ups at Lisbon Airport and the Lisbon cruise terminal, plus hotels, apartments and private addresses in the Lisbon area. Flights and ship arrivals are tracked so we are there when you are. Porto and Faro airport pick-ups are only accepted for long-distance routes or cross-border transfers into Spain.
How is Driver for Hire different from a tour?
A tour has a suggested plan; Driver for Hire has none. You book the vehicle and driver for the day and decide where to go as you go — ideal for flexible travellers, families and multi-day trips.
How do we pay, and when?
Nothing is charged when you send a request. Once the itinerary is confirmed we take a small deposit, with the balance payable at the end of the service by card, cash or bank transfer.
What is your cancellation policy?
Free cancellation up to 48 hours before the service starts, with a full deposit refund. Multi-day itineraries have their own terms, always agreed in writing beforehand.
Do you provide child seats?
Yes, at no extra cost. Tell us the ages of your children and we will fit the correct seats before pick-up.
Which languages do you speak?
Portuguese, English and Spanish as standard. French and German guides can be arranged with advance notice.
